The seller states: This is the first – and only - issue of Fanciful Tales (of Time and Space) (vol. 1, no. 1; Fall, 1936). This magazine, edited by Donald A. Wollheim, is a thin pamphlet which is stapled at the spine; the wrappers are a glossy paper and extend beyond the edges of the text block; the text pages are a pulp grade; the coler illustration is by Clay Ferguson, Jr. Seven stories are printed, including “The Man from Dark Valley” by August Derleth, “The Typewriter” by David H. Keller, “The Nameless City” by H. P. Lovecraft, and “Umbriel” by Donald Wollheim; there is also a poem, “Solomon Kane’s Homecoming,” by Robert E. Howard.
